Lafayette School District currently provides medical, dental and vision benefits for its eligible employees through the Self Insured Schools of California (SISC), Delta Dental, Vision Service Plan, as well as other benefits.

Medical Benefits

  • The District will pay 100% of the Kaiser Single DHMO 1000 Plan, 65% of the Kaiser DHMO Two Party and 65% of the Kaiser DHMO Family premiums for full time employees, except for psych interns.
  • For the Anthem HMO and PPO plans as well as the Kaiser $15 HMO plan, the District will pay 100% of the Kaiser Single DHMO 1000 Plan, 65% of the Kaiser DHMO Two Party and Kaiser DHMO Family premiums for full time employees.
  • The full-time employee will pay for the difference when the selected plan’s premium exceeds the composite rate. For part-time employees, the District’s share of premiums will be a prorated amount of the composite rate.
  • For employees who pay a portion of the benefit premium, the employee share is taken with pre‐tax dollars.
 

Delta Dental Benefits: The District will contribute 100% of the composite rate per month for a full-time employee. For part-time employees, the District’s share of premiums will be a prorated amount of the composite rate.

Vision (VSP): The District will contribute 100% of the employee only rate per month for a full-time employee. For part-time employees, the District’s share of premiums will be a prorated. An employee may obtain this vision coverage for eligible dependents at the employee’s expense.

Group Life/ADD Insurance: $50,000 Group Term Life insurance. The District will contribute 100% or the employee only premium for basic life insurance coverage. For part-time employees, the District’s share of premiums will be a prorated.
